Gutter downspout extensions in Boise, Idaho. A downspout that discharges right at the foundation wall puts water exactly where you do not want it. Surface extensions redirect discharge at least 4 to 6 feet from the structure. For homes where grade runs toward the foundation or where landscaping blocks surface drainage, we install buried downspout extensions that carry water underground to a daylight outlet at the yard edge or street.

Frequently Asked Questions
How far should a downspout extension extend from the house in Boise?
At a minimum, downspout discharge should reach at least 4 to 6 feet from the foundation and discharge onto a surface that grades away from the structure. Homes with flat lots or poor drainage may need buried extensions to move water further.
Can you install underground downspout drains in Boise?
Yes. We install buried downspout extensions using corrugated drain pipe with a daylight outlet at the yard edge or a pop-up emitter in the lawn. This is a cleaner solution than surface extensions for homes with established landscaping.
