There are a lot of trustworthy gutter companies serving the Treasure Valley, but there are also a lot of corners that get cut when a homeowner does not know what to check for.
Is the Company Actually Licensed?
A quick search can confirm whether a contractor is licensed with the state and what their standing looks like. It is your right, and honestly your responsibility, to verify this before hiring anyone to work on your home.
Is the Company Insured?
Any contractor with employees should carry both liability insurance and workers compensation coverage. Hiring a contractor without proper insurance puts you at risk if something goes wrong on your property during the job.
Check Recent Reviews, Not Just the Total Count
A large number of reviews sounds impressive, but recent reviews tell you more about the company's current work than reviews from five years ago. Look for detail in the reviews too. Vague five-star ratings tell you less than a review describing a specific problem the company solved.
Ask About the Warranty in Detail
A warranty is only as good as the company standing behind it. Ask specifically what it covers, workmanship, material, or both, and for how long. If the answer is vague, that is worth noting before you sign anything.
