A lot of homeowners assume "seamless" means "maintenance free." It does not, and the distinction is worth understanding before you skip a cleaning.
What Seamless Actually Solves
Seamless construction eliminates the mid-run joints where sectional gutters typically leak. It does nothing to stop leaves, seed pods, pine needles, or the occasional tennis ball from collecting inside the gutter itself.
How Often You Should Clean
We recommend cleaning gutters at least twice a year, once in spring and once in fall, regardless of whether your system is seamless or sectional. Homes with heavy tree cover, especially cottonwoods and pines, often benefit from a mid-summer check as well.
What Happens If You Skip It
A clogged gutter overflows during storms, sending water down your siding and foundation instead of to your downspouts. Over time that can mean cracked foundations, damaged fascia, and soggy landscaping. If regular cleaning is not something you want to keep track of, our ISG maintenance plan schedules it automatically each spring and fall, or a leaf guard system can significantly cut down how often cleaning is needed in the first place.
